Today, India opened one of the largest hospitals in the World in New Delhi, to help with an ever increasing demand for hospital beds caused by the Coronavirus. The inauguration of Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre occurred on Saturday, and India’s home minister Amit Shah and New Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal visited the hospital before its launch.
As of today, the hospital started operating but not yet at full capacity. Only 2000 beds are available out of 10,000. The home minister tweeted that this hospital ‘would provide huge relief to the people of Delhi’.
As of Sunday, India had a total of 549,197 cases and 16,487 deaths. In the last 24 hours, India reported 19,620 cases and 384 deaths.
Wow! Amazing. Thanks for your blog.

God Bless India! I live in California. We have more covid-19 cases (why do we call it this?) than most countries. And we have Donald Trump to help us. I suspect we deserve it.

Covid-19 stands for, CO (for Coronavirus), VI (for virus), d (for disease), and 19 for the date it was found (2019). It’s sad how many cases you have there. Stay safe!
