A suspicious package was found at LAX airport Terminal 1 on Sunday night. The package was reported at about 9.35 p.m.,and passengers and employees were removed from the ticketing area of Terminal 1. The package was cleared out by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Bomb Squad.

 By about 11:45 p.m., the airport was given the all-clear. Traffic was backed up at LAX and Terminal 1 was largely shut down after the package was found.
