Moments ago, a 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck 22 km south of Glan, Sarangani, Soccsksargen, Philippines, on Friday, Nov 17, 2023 04:14 pm at a shallow depth of 10km.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.

Moderate shaking probably occurred in Malapatan (pop. 19,400) located 38 km from the epicenter, Alabel (pop. 43,300) 53 km away, General Santos City (pop. 679,600) 55 km away, Polomolok (pop. 64,000) 69 km away, Maluñgun (pop. 52,200) 72 km away, and Malita (pop. 41,100) 96 km away.
In Central (pop. 1,212,500) located 165 km from the epicenter, the quake should have been felt as light shaking.
