Malaysia bans all Israel and Israeli bound ships as from today.

The Malaysian government has taken the decision to ban all Israeli owned, flagged ships and those bound to Israel from docking at any of the Malaysian ports. The Prime Minister of Malaysia , Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim released a statement today to announce his decision on permanently banning Israeli ships and the company operating them (ZIM Integrated Shipping Services).
The Malaysian government harshly condemned Israel attacks on Gaza in response to October 7th, 2023 rampage by Hamas terrorists. The Prime Minister Anwar said that he will not punish Hamas for the killing of 1,200 Israeli civilians and capturing of 200 civilians. Malaysia, like other countries nearby, do not recognize Israel as a country.
