Massive fire at a Lithium battery plant in South Korea.

Local sources have reported a huge fire on Monday morning at the Lithium battery plant in Hwaseong, South Korea. There are reports that there was en explosion preceding the fire. Authorities have reported that 21 workers have lost their lives. This figure is expected to increase in the coming hours. Most of the victims were foreign nationals.

The fire started on the second floor of the factory, leading to explosions and very thick smoke, hampering firefighters efforts. The fire department mobilized 159 firefighters and 63 pieces of equipment in an attempt to control the fire. More details to follow.
