Seismologists just reported a 5.2-magnitude earthquake 57 km S 78° E of Marihatag (Surigao Del Sur) at 1.39pm local time. It struck at a shallow depth of 10km.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Arrasasan (pop. 5,100) located 59 km from the epicenter, Hinatuan (pop. 10,100) 64 km away, Bislig City (pop. 67,600) 77 km away, Tandag (pop. 29,000) 79 km away, San Francisco (pop. 18,500) 96 km away, and Bah-Bah (pop. 28,600) 99 km away.
