Tensions between India and Pakistan seem to be worsening. Troops from both nuclear armed nations have exchanged gunfire across the volatile frontier in Kashmir for the second day, and footage has shown a large number of self-propelled howitzers being transported towards the Indian border. The clashes followed the deadly attack last Tuesday, resulting in 32 casualties. The terror attack was directed at male Hindus after the terrorists asked the victims if they were Hindus or Muslims, and shot only the Hindus.
Pakistani Defense forces are contemplating pre-emptive strikes on Indian forces, and there are reports that there is flooding in Pakistan after India unexpectedly released water in the Jhelum River without prior notification. Indian police authorities have also started operation in Mumbai to locate any Pakistanis still living in the city. India has canceled the visas of all Pakistanis and ordered all to leave the country. Pakistan also expelled Indian diplomats and military advisers, canceled visas for Indian nationals – with the exception of Sikh pilgrims – and also closed the main border from its side. Pakistan said that if India stops the water supply from the Indus River it would be considered as an act of war.
