Israeli Prime Minister Bennett returns back to Israel after meeting Putin and Scholz.

The Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett arrived in Israel on Sunday morning after a surprise trip to Moscow where he met the Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the Russian-Ukrainian war, and than to Berlin to discuss the war with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
According to the Israeli Prime Minister’s office , the national Security Adviser Eyal Hulata, senior policy adviser Shimrit Meir, and Bennett’s spokesman Matan Sidi also traveled with the prime minister
Very few details of the meeting between Putin and Bennett has been revealed so far. The trip was intended for Israel to act as a mediator between Russia and Ukraine as it is on good terms with both countries. Israeli Prime Minister also discussed the safety of the Ukrainian Jewish people and the Iranian nuclear deal.
Regarding the Iranian nuclear deal Russia said it would require guarantees from the US before it can back the Iranian nuclear deal.
We requested that our US colleagues… give us written guarantees at the minimum level of Secretary of State that the current [sanctions] process launched by the US will not in any way harm our right to free, fully-fledged trade and economic and investment cooperation and military-technical cooperation with Iran.

After the meeting Israel Prime Minister Bennett contacted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and also French President Emmanuel Macron.
