Moments ago a 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck 42 km northwest of Añatuya, General Taboada, Santiago del Estero, Argentina at a depth of 592km.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.

Since it struck very deep below the surface the quake was not felt weaker than it actually was.
