After a drone strike on the US Tower 22 military outpost by Iranian- backed rebels, Iran has activated its air defenses across the country against a possible US airstrike. The drone strike on the military outpost in Jordan claimed the lives of three US soldiers. Another 34 US soldiers were injured in the attack. US central command claimed that eight personnel had to be medically evacuated, and the number of wounded is expected to increase.
Iran has denied any involvement in the attack and subsequently activated its air defenses after US President Joe Biden said that those involved will be held responsible in the attack and ‘at a time and in a manner our choosing.’ US is expected to launch an airstrike inside Iran. The US president is currently consulting with other allied leaders.
