6.7-magnitude earthquake strikes Taiwan.

Moments ago, a 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck the  Philippine Sea, 68 km southeast of Taipei, Taiwan at a moderately shallow depth of 58km. The quake struck late at night on Saturday, December 27th, 2025, at 11:05 pm local time. It was felt widely in the area.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
