Minutes ago, local sources reported a 4.4-magnitude earthquake in Bagmati Province, 29 km west of Lobujya, Solukhumbu, Province 1, Nepal at a shallow depth of 10km.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.

The moderate earthquake was felt by people living in towns and cities located close to the epicenter. No infrastructural damage is expected as most likely it was felt as weak shaking. The closest town to the epicenter was Lobujya with a population of nearly 9000 people.
