A 7.0-magnitude earthquake strikes Pondaguitan, Philippines.

Minutes ago the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported a 7.0-magnitude earthquake near Mati, Davao Oriental, Davao, Philippines. The earthquake occurred at a very shallow depth of 10km.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be changed later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their own reports.
The earthquake was most likely felt by a lot of people far from the epicenter. Moderate shaking was probably felt in Bobon (pop. 4,500) located 64 km from the epicenter, Tibanbang (pop. 7,800) 77 km away, Mati (pop. 105,900) 79 km away, Manay (pop. 20,300) 80 km away, Sigaboy (pop. 8,000) 81 km away, and San Isidro (pop. 9,700) 85 km away.
