On Friday morning at around 11am, two people have been killed and two others wounded in a stabbing attack in Almelo, Netherlands. The dead were found inside the property building. One of the wounded is the attacker himself.

Two people died in the attack Steynstraat (in Almelo) … Two more people were injured, one of them was the attacker.

Police

In a footage released on Twitter the attacker was seen coming out on to the balcony with his crossbow where he fired a bolt. Soon afterwards the policemen opened fire, wounding and later apprehending him. An investigation has been launched by the police. It is not yet known what was the motive behind the attack.
