On Saturday, an Air France Boeing-777 plane returned to Beijing for an emergency landing, 14 minutes after it left its airport. According to officials there was an explosion during the flight due to an issue with the air conditioning system. The plane returned to Beijing at around 04:03 local time (China).
Air France released a statement later on describing what led to the emergency landing.
A failure of a pneumatic system on the aircraft led to overpressure in one of the air conditioning pipes, which spread residue and dust in the cabin.
