A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck Australia.

Minutes ago, the seismological agency Geoscience Australia (GeoAu) reported a 5.0-magnitude earthquake in Southern Mallee, 92 km northeast of Keith, Tatiara, Australia at a very shallow depth of 0km. It was reported at 2.47am local time.
Since the earthquake struck just moments ago, the exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be changed again later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their own reports.
The earthquake was felt by a lot of people near the epicenter, but so far there were no reports of any significant damage. Towns or cities that might have felt the earthquake include Pinnaroo (pop. 720) located 12 miles from the epicenter, Murrayville (pop. 280) 17 miles away, Keith (pop. 1,300) located 57 miles from the epicenter, and Loxton (pop. 4,500) 72 miles away.
