Firefighters are currently working tirelessly to extinguish a massive fire that broke out in Kalansuwa shopping mall in central Israel, on Saturday afternoon.

The Israeli police officers and Israel Fire and Rescue Service firefighters evacuated all shoppers from the mall as 25 firefighting teams are battling the fire. It is believed that the fire might have done enough damage for the two-storey mall to collapse.

An hour after the fire broke out, the top floor of the mall collapsed injuring a police officer and six other people.

The fire is believed to have started during maintenance works on the second floor, but further investigation is ongoing to confirm this. Currently, the fire is still being extinguished.
