An hour ago a moderate 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck 13 km north of Moca, Provincia Espaillat, Dominican Republic at a depth of 20km.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
The earthquake was felt in Jamao al Norte (pop. 2,200) located 10 km from the epicenter, Tamboril (pop. 23,300) 14 km away, Monte Llano (pop. 19,000) 19 km away, and Moca (pop. 61,800) 21 km away, the quake should have been felt as light shaking.
