A 6.5-magnitude earthquake strikes Java, Indonesia.

Moments ago a strong 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck the Java Sea, 97 km north of Tuban, East Java, Indonesia at a depth of 604km.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Update: Risk of tsunami has been excluded. Aftershocks are expected.
