Nearly half an hour ago a moderate 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck the South China Sea, 22 km southwest of Balayan, Philippines at a shallow depth of 10km.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Towns or cities located close to the epicenter felt weak to moderate shaking. No infrastructural damage expected.
