A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck west of Bagalangit, Philippines.

Nearly an hour ago at 3.33am local time, a 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck the South China Sea, 33 km west of Batangas, Calabarzon, Philippines at a depth of 191km.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.

The moderate earthquake was felt in a number of towns including Hukay and Calatagan. It was also felt in the capital Manila. People reported that they felt weak shaking.
