A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Fiji islands.

A few hours ago, a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Fiji. According to the Tsunami Warning Center in Ewa Beach said that based on the current data no Pacific-wide tsunami would occur and there is no tsunami threat for Hawaii.
The earthquake was recorded on Saturday at 22:13 GMT (11:13am local time) at a depth of 10 kilometers (over 6 miles), 348 kilometers east of the town of Lambasa. According to USGS, there has been no damage to the infrastructure of the island. The country lies in the ring of fire, a hotbed for earthquakes. Powerful earthquakes frequently occur near or in the islands of Fiji.
