A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck Hawaii county, USA.

Nearly two hours ago USGS reported 4.2-magnitude earthquake in the North Pacific Ocean, 46 mi west of Kailua Kona, Hawaii County, USA at a shallow depth of 1km.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might revised later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their report.

Towns or cities that might have felt a weak shaking include Kalaoa (pop. 9,600) located 49 miles from the epicenter, Kailua Kona (pop. 12,000) 50 miles away, and Holualoa (pop. 8,500) 53 miles away.
