A strong 5.2-magnitude earthquake strikes Amazonas, Peru.

Minutes ago the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported that a 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck Provincia de Chachapoyas, Amazonas, Peru at a very shallow depth of 10km.
As is usual, the exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be changed later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their own reports.
The earthquake was most likely felt by a lot of people located close to the epicenter. Thr earthquake did not cause any significant damage. It was most likely felt as a weak shaking in Nazareth (pop. 120) located 46 km from the epicenter.
