US conducts an airstrike against an ISIS-K member.

Less than 48 hours after the double explosion in Kabul Hamid Karzai International Airport that left 170 Afghans and 13 US servicemen dead, the US conducted a drone strike on an ISIS-K member. US officials said that the gunmen than opened fire increasing the death toll.
The ISIS-Kmember is believed to have been killed and he used to be a planner for the terror organisation.
U.S. military forces conducted an over-the-horizon counterterrorism operation today against an ISIS-K planner.

The statement continued about the unmanned airstrike.
The unmanned airstrike occurred in the Nangahar Province of Afghanistan. Initial indications are that we killed the target. We know of no civilian casualties.

More attacks against Islamic State- Khorasan (ISIS-K) are expected as US President Joe Biden vowed revenge after the explosion.
To those who carried out this attack as well as anyone who wishes America harm, know this: We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay.

The terror group is an offshoot of the Islamic State group (ISIS) group. It is believed that it has around 2000 soldiers.
