A 5.8-magnitude earthquake strikes Iwate, Japan.

Moments ago the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported a 5.8-magnitude earthquake in the North Pacific Ocean, 52 km northeast of Miyako, Iwate, Japan at a depth of 56km.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be changed again later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their own reports.
