On Saturday afternoon, an explosion and a huge fire occured in a 230 kW power station in the important port city of Bandar Abbas, Iran.

Several districts in the Hormozygan provice have reported power outages due to the accident. Local authorities reported no injuries or casaulties so far.

It is not yet known what caused it the explosiom, but some speculate that it might have been a result of sabotage, but no evidence has yet been put forward to prove it. More details to follow.
