The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported a 4.0-magnitude earthquake 19 km south of Jeremie, Grandans, Haiti at a very shallow depth of 5km.
Since the earthquake has just occurred, the exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be changed again later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their own reports.
The earthquake was most likely felt by a huge number of people located closest to the epicenter. Towns or cities that might have felt a weak shaking include Jeremie, Moron, Les Anglais, Port-a-Piment, Abricots, Roche-a-Bateau, Dame-Marie and Tiburon.
