A state of emergency has been declared by the Governor of Colorado after heavy winds as high as 100mph is fueling fast moving fires spreading through several towns.

The 13,000 residents living in Boulder, Colorado have been ordered to evacuated from the town.so far, thousands have been evacuated. The Boulder Police Department asked drivers to avoid the roads as the heavy smoke is clogging the roads. Several properties have been reportedly destroyed by the fires.
