According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Russiannavy captured two Ukrainian civil ships in Romanian waters, 22 miles from Zmiinyi (Snake) Island.

The bulk carriers captured are named Afina and Princess Nichole. They were enroute to Constanta, Romania when they encountered a Russian warship. Ukrainian officials said that upon encountering the Russian warship, the bulk carriers’ AIS systems were shut off and communication stopped. Both Ukrainian ships were taken to the Black Sea.
