A 5.5-magnitude earthquake was just detected off the coast of Michoacan, Mexico at a shallow depth of 10km.
This occurred just a few minutes ago, so the exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be changed again later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their own reports, but it is unlikely.
The epicenter of the quake was 415km south of Manzanillo and 370km south- southwest of Playa Azul. More details to follow.
