Tropical storm Megi makes landfall in the Philippines.

Weather authorities reported that the tropical storm made landfall on Sunday. Xinhua News Agency reported that the tropical storm hit the Philippines on Sunday at around 8am and it is the first tropical storm to hit the Summer season.
The tropical storm winds are blowing at 75 km per hour and with gusts of up to 105 km per hour and central pressure of 996 hPa. Also, strong winds or higher extend outwards up to 220 km from the centre. Authorities increased the alert level to 1 or 2 out of a 5 in several central and southern areas. Heavy rain drenched the Luzon Island, and torrential rains are expected over the central and southern regions.
