A Southern California hotel under construction is engulfed by a massive fire on Tuesday night. The fire forced authorities to close the US-101 highway in Camarillo.
A number of firefighters were immediately sent to the site. The fire was reported on Tuesday just after 7pm. The fire was close to the Camarillo Outlet Mall. The situation worsened by 7.20pm, and the firefighters asked for more resources. After an hour the construction collapsed.
Despite the massive fire, traffic was allowed to pass for quite some time. Some passers-by described ‘feeling the heat’ as he was driving by.
