Moments ago a 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck Southern Iran, 11km west of Dubai, United Arab Emirates at a depth of less than 40km.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might still be changed again later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their own reports, but it is unlikely.

Towns or cities close to the epicenter of the quake felt weak shaking. This includes Dubai located 11km from the epicenter, Abu Dhabi (UAE), and Bandar-e-Langhar (Iran).
