Switzerland airspace closed after computer glitch.

Swiss airspace was closed for half an hour on Wednesday after a computer glitch with the air traffic control system halted take-offs of all flights to and from the international airports in Geneva and Zurich.
Swiss airspace is closed to traffic for security reasons after computer failure with Skyguide, the Swiss air traffic control service.

Due to the technical glitch all flights were grounded and four flights from Johannesburg, Dubai, Chicago and Montreal were diverted elsewhere.
Due to a major computer failure affecting Skyguide, no landings or take-offs can take place this morning in Geneva until 8 am.

By 8.30am Geneva airport tweeted that flights started to operate again.
Good news! Air traffic has gradually resumed since 8:30 am (0630 GMT).
