Minutes ago a 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck the Bonin Islands, Japan Region at a depth of 10km.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might still be changed again later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their own reports, but it is unlikely.
A number of towns or cities located close to the Islands most likely felt weak shaking. It is not yet known if there is a tsunami threat.
