A 4.8-magnitude earthquake in Nepal.

Just a few minutes ago, local sources reported a 4.8-magnitude earthquake 52 km north of Triyuga, Udaipur, Province 1, Nepal at a shallow depth of 10km.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might still be changed again later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their own reports.

The earthquake was felt as weak shaking in several towns or cities close to the epicenter. These include Khandbari (pop. 22,900) located 46 km from the epicenter, Triyuga (pop. 71,400) 52 km away, Dhankuta (pop. 22,100) 65 km away, Lahan (pop. 31,500) 66 km away, Dharan (pop. 108,600) 71 km away, Rājbirāj (pop. 33,100) 80 km away, Inaruwa (pop. 70,100) 82 km away, and Itahari (pop. 48,000) 84 km away.
