A 6.4-magnitude earthquake strikes Province of Illcos Norte, Philippines.

Minutes ago a 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck Cordillera, 48 km southeast of Batac City, Province of Ilocos Norte, Philippines at a depth of less than 40km.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
The earthquake was felt as strong shaking by those living close to the epicenter. Moderate to heavy damage to buildings and other infrastructure expected in the epicenter of the quake. These include Cabugao, Laoag, Pasuquin, Bangued, Santa Maria, Bangui, Candon, Santa Cruz and Claveria. Locals have reported three aftershocks already.
There have been no reports regarding any injuries and casualties. No tsunami threat for Mariana Islands, Hawaii and Australia.
