A 5.3-magnitude earthquake strikes Western Texas.

European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported a 5.3-magnitude earthquake 56 miles south of Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico, USA.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.

The earthquake was felt by a lot of people located close to the epicenter. Two aftershocks ranging from 4.0 – 4.8-magnitude have just occured.
