Local sources just reported an explosion in Taksim Square, Istanbul, Turkey. It occurred in Istiklal Avenue and 53 people were injured. Emergency services are currently on site. Six people have died.

There are reports that a suicide bomber exploded himself on the historical street Istiklal.
