Chemical explosion in Sydney primary school in Australia.

Local sources reported a chemical explosion after a failed science experiment. It occurred in a Manly West Public School in Sydney, Australia.
Emergency services rushed to the school, and took 11 students and one staff member to hospital. Two of the children suffered severe burns and are in serious condition. The others suffered burns in the upper body, face, chest and legs, but are in stable condition. New South Wales (NSW) Minister for Education and Early Learning Sarah Mitchell released a statement and said that the explosion occurred around 1pm local time.
Investigations into the incident will be undertaken by the relevant authorities, including the Department of Education and NSW Police. In addition, SafeWork NSW has been notified and they will carry out their own investigation in due course.
