Major magnitude 7.3-earthquake hits Papa New Guinea.

A 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Goroka, Eastern Highlands, Papua New Guinea at a shallow depth of 10km around 15 minutes ago. Severe shaking was reported near the epicenter.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Moderate shaking was felt in Ambunti (pop. 2,100) located 43 km from the epicenter, Wewak (pop. 18,200) 96 km away, Wabag (pop. 4,000) 145 km away, Aitape (pop. 5,500) 160 km away, and Tari (pop. 8,200) 181 km away.
