A 6.3-magnitude earthquake strikes northeast of Bicol, Philippines.

Moments ago a 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck the Philippine Sea, 189 km northeast of Sorsogon, Bicol, Philippines at a shallow depth of 10km.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Towns or cities located close to the epicenter include Gigmoto, Laoang (Northern Samar) and Catarman. It is still early to determine the damage, if any, caused by this quake.
