France health authorities reported over 1,500 new coronavirus cases, such a spike unseen since May 30th. The number of death due to the virus has also risen. The average number of new cases in France was 498 in the last 7 days, and 430 since early June. The number of death today was 26, the highest amount in the last 3 days. On Thursday it was 21, while on Wednesday it was 11.

As of Friday, the number of deaths in the country reached 29,778, while the total number of cases reached 162,936.

The number of people with the virus staying in hospitals decreased by 255 to 8,886. This is the first time that there are less than 9000 people in hospitals, over the last three months.
