An outbreak in a wholesale market last week prompted Chinese officials to close the market, along with schools, and even whole neighbourhoods in the vicinity. Citizens wanting to leave Beijing, also had to provide a certificate, that proves that they don’t carry the virus, within the previous 7 days. Now this week cases seem to have stabilized.
Still, China will carry out COVID-19 tests in reopened salons, and no new cases were reported in beauty and barber shops, a sign that the virus is under control.
Yesterday, a popular 3-day festival known as Dragon boat festival, where tens of millions usually attend, ended with no outbreaks reported so far.
