Bolsonaro hails UAE and Bahrain’s peace deal with Israel.

During the United Nations General Assembly’s 75th session, the Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro hailed the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain’s peace deal with Israel.

During an address to the UN General Assembly, he said ‘The peace agreements between Israel and United Arab Emirates and between Israel and Bahrain – three friends of Brazil with which out government has greatly strengthened relations – are excellent news.’

The Brazilian President also praised US President Donald Trump, a close friend of him, for brokering the peace agreement. Regarding the US President’s peace plan, Bolsonaro said that it is ‘A promising vision to resume the path towards a much desired solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.’ Mr. Bolsonaro added that Brazil will pursue closer relations with Arab countries and Israel, ‘in line’ with US initiatives.

Also, Brazil is coming closer to joining the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The Brazilian President, said ‘To that end, we have already put in place the world’s highest standards in all areas, to include financial regulation, digital security and environmental protection.’ United States is aiding Brazil in joining the OECD. The President of Brazil also showed their commitment in completing their trade deals between Mercosur, the European Free Trade Association and the European Union.
