United Arab Emirates reports 1,041 new cases.

On Sunday, United Arab Emirates (UAE) reported 1,041 new cases, as the country continues to deal with a spike in new infections. No new deaths were reported. It marks the fifth day straight that the number of cases has been more than 1,000 cases.
UAE also announced that during inspections, eight businesses were were issued fines, and 13 shops were warned for not following COVID-19 measures. Dubai Sports Council announced that it issued five fines to several fitness centers and clubs during the weekend, while warned six others. Dubai Police also fined a pilot ($2,722) for organizing a private yacht party having 25 guests. The guests were not following social distancing measures or wearing face masks. Since the surge in cases a month ago, UAE authorities are trying to clamp down on those individuals or businesses violating the COVID-19 measures in place.
As of Sunday, the total number of coronavirus cases in UAE, since the pandemic began is at 97,760, while the death toll remained unchanged at 426.
