On Saturday, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani in a statement blamed Israel that it acted as a ‘mercenary’ for the United States.

Once again, the evil hands of global arrogance were stained with the blood of the mercenary usurper Zionist regime. The assassination of martyr Fakhrizadeh shows our enemies’ despair and the depth of their hatred.

The nuclear scientist, Mohren Fakhrizadeh, was gunned down by unknown assailants back in November 27. He initially sustained heavy injuries during the shootout, and was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

It is also believed that during the last weeks of Donald Trump’s Presidency, a confrontation between Iran and its enemies US and Israel will be more likely, complicating President-elect Joe Biden’s Presidency.

An Israeli journalist Yossi Melman tweeted about the killing of the Iranian nuclear scientist.

The killing of the nuclear scientist came just a few days before the ten year anniversary of the killing of another Iranian nuclear scientist, Majid Shahriari.

On Friday, it has been reported that the Nimitz carrier strike group moved to the Persian Gulf, but defense forces said that it is unrelated to the death of the nuclear scientist, and the ships are actually there to provide ‘combat support and air cover as US troops withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan’. Still, Iran threatened US that any airstrike on its land will be met by a ‘crushing response’.
