People missing after a landing craft vessel capsizes in Strait of Hormuz.

On Friday evening, the Hormozygan province’s search and Rescue center received a message about a capsized landing craft vessel. Soon after receiving the message, lifeguard vessel number 12 was deployed to the area from Qeshm island.
The Deputy of Maritime Affairs of Iran’s Hormozgan Ports and Navigation, Esmail Makizadeh said that the Search and Rescue team went to search for the missing landing craft vessel, but due to unfavorable weather conditions, the search was postponed for Saturday morning.
On Saturday morning, the search resumed and the vessel was found 25 miles southeast of Iran’s Lark island, in the Strait of Hormuz. The seven people that were onboard the vessel have not been found yet. Mr. Makizadeh said that they are working with other countries to search for the missing people.
We are trying to find the missing people by mobilizing all the facilities and forces, as well as informing the passing vessels and the search and rescue centers of Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan.

Update: On 28/12/20, a body of the one of the seven crew members was found in the Gulf waters. The crew members’s nationality were 6 Iranians and one Indian.
