On Wednesday, two workers died in a goldmine explosion in Zhaoyuan, China. Four workers are unaccounted for. A search and rescue team saved four workers, but another four remain missing.
A fire broke out in the goldmine, when the workers were repairing facilities at the Caojiawa Gold Mine, which led to an explosion.

Last month, on January 22nd, 22 miners were trapped in a goldmine in Qixia, eastern China’s Shandong province after an explosion blocked their entrances. Eleven workers died in the explosion.
